Note: Hospitals in Krabi are not of international standard. The nearest international standard hospitals are to be found in Phuket. But for minor treatments the Krabi hospitals are considered to be adequate.

A note on private hospital bill
Private hospitals in Thailand's holiday spots do a lucrative trade on unsuspecting tourists, charging them much more than a government hospital might. It might not seem expensive relative to your home country, and if insurance is picking up the bill then it's the safe option. If, however, you're footing the bill (even to later claim on travel insurance), there are plenty of very professional public hospitals that are more ethical. Certainly they promote unnecessary services and sell you expensive imported medicines, which are had for a fraction of the price at a registered pharmacy.
