Krabi Airline to commence Oslo flights

Krabi Airline has announced that it will start Oslo to Krabi flights in December of this year. The route will see Boeing 747-400s fly from Gardermoen airport in Oslo to Krabi International Airport, then on to Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport and back to Gardermoen.

Krabi Marina set for November opening

The first phase of the new 90-boat-berth Krabi Marina is scheduled to open this November. The quays and various roofed complexes at the Taling Chan facility have already been constructed and the developers say the project is right on schedule.

Andaman Sea resort stages mass massage event

On Friday, massage therapists held a massive group massage session on the resort island of Phuket opposite Krabi. The number of masseuses offering treatment has unofficially broken the world record, but as Guinness World Records referees did not attend, the entry will not appear in the world renowned book.

Floating library cancels Andaman visit

The captain of a library ship that was due to dock at Phuket on Wednesday has cancelled the planned stopover. The MV Logos Hope was scheduled to stop at Phuket’s deep sea port for 12 days, but engine trouble before it left India led the captain to abort the visit.

Andaman seafood festival draws diners

People in the Andaman region of southwest Thailand are heading to Phuket this month for its annual seafood festival. The festival began on 1 August with an opening ceremony at the Jungceylon Shopping Mall in the resort town of Patong, on Phuket’s west coast.
