More Marriot hotels to open in Thailand

Prominent hotel chain Marriot has just announced that it will be opening a number of new hotels in Thailand, which is great news for those who enjoy spending the night in the company’s luxuriously spacious rooms and suites.

In a large scale project to add 21 new venues to their already extensive hotel chain, Mariott has revealed that ten full service, upscale Marriott Hotels and Resorts properties that will be located in China, the Philippines and Thailand, opening later this year.

In a recent interview with 4hotels.com Ed Fuller from Mariott said that: “We are excited by these spectacular, architecturally interesting additions to our already dynamic Asia-Pacific pipeline especially since this growth is occurring in the context of the difficult global economy and tight credit markets. Clearly, these new hotels are testament to the recognized power of our brands to deliver results even under challenging conditions and to the success our existing hotels are enjoying in the region. We’ve made considerable progress since opening our first hotel in Asia-Pacific just 20 years ago here with the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.”

It has yet to be announced exactly where the hotels will be built, but major tourist destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket and Pattaya are expected to be graced with new Mariott hotels.
