Andaman resorts offer Valentine’s specials

11 Feb 2013

Resorts along Thailand’s southern Andaman Sea coastline are marking Valentine’s Day on Thursday with romance package deals. To the north of Krabi, the Sarojin Resort is providing a pampered stay which includes a personal evening for two on a deserted beach with only a chef and butler for company.

The exciting evening comes as part of a total package that includes transfers to and from either Krabi or Phuket’s airport, six nights stay in beautifully appointed accommodation, lunch beside a soothing waterfall and Thai cookery tuition. The Sarojin is a five-star resort in Phang Nga which opened eight years ago.

The Sarojin epitomises chic luxury and boasts features such as the Ficus restaurant, an al fresco bar and wine cellar, and a well-equipped fitness centre. While the emphasis here may be on the finer things in life, activities are not ignored and provide a diversity that ranges from croquet to sea-kayaking and catamaran sailing.

Halfway across Phang Nga Bay from Krabi to Phuket, the Six Senses Hideaway on Yao Noi Island is another excellent option for Valentine’s. A three-day package deal on offer here is the ultimate treat and begins with a thrilling helicopter trip from Phuket Airport which provides bird’s eye views of the unique limestone karsts that dot the bay.

The first night of this holiday is spent in a cabin with a glass top aboard the Riva, the Six Senses’ opulent yacht. The second will see the couple ensconced in a honeymoon suite where they will be waited on by their own personal master-chef.
